Project Management

Hi! A Grand Hello to all my students of project management!
I would occasionally put some interesting matter for you to read and enjoy!

1. Project management - building game
Original URL: http://teaching-operations-management.wikispaces.com/Project+Management+-+Building+game

This is a game to demonstrate the balance between planning and execution in project management. The game asks teams to build a skyscraper out of dried spaghetti and marshmallows. The team with the highest building that can hold the most weight wins.

The exercise demonstrates the reality of deadlines (project must be complete in 20 minutes) and trade-offs on project outcomes.

  2. I believe face to face interaction in class room setting is most efficient medium for structured learning. With new opportunities for experimenting in the area of open learning, let me ask the reader, in your opinion which medium of open learning is more engaging:
    1) Blogs
    2) Google Groups
    3) Web sites
    4) Videos
    5. any other...
